This June, a series of recitals and performances events will take place at Deciso Studio. From solo recitals to performance class, each event offers a chance for musicians to share their work and connect with audiences through live performance.
Here are some of the events taking place this month.
Featured Concert: Echoes and Transformations
On Sunday, 28 June 2026, Malaysian pianist Dr. Elaine Yap returns to Deciso Studio with her piano recital, Echoes and Transformations, performed on our Shigeru Kawai SK-EX 9ft Concert Grand Piano.
The recital presents a thoughtfully curated programme spanning Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, and contemporary repertoire, including:
- Mozart, Fantasy in D minor, KV 397
- Zhou Tian 周天, Majestic Bells 輝煌的鐘聲 (2023) – Malaysian premiere
- Scriabin, Waltz in A-flat Major, Op. 38; Nocturne for the Left Hand, Op. 9 No. 2
- Debussy, Images, Book I
- Brahms, Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, Op. 24
About Dr. Elaine Yap
Dr. Yap is currently Senior Lecturer at the Music Department of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from Michigan State University, where she was mentored by Margarita Shevchenko. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor’s degree from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Master of Music and Graduate Diploma at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Throughout her educational pursuits, she has been guided by distinguished mentors such as Haesun Paik, Meng-Chieh Liu, Albert Tiu, and Dr. Nicholas Ong.
Dr. Yap has been a familiar artistic presence at Deciso Studio over the years, presenting a number of recital programmes including Ravel 150: Dreams and Nightscapes (2025), Reflections and Resonance (2024), and A Piano Evening (2023). We are delighted to welcome her back for another evening of music-making and artistic exploration.

Other June Studio Activities
Alongside the featured piano recital, two solo violin recitals will take place on 14 June and 20 June, presented by Mr. Foo and Loh Lit Wung respectively. Both recitals are private events and open by invitation only.
A Performance Class will also be held at Deciso Studio on 7 June, contributing further to a month filled with musical activities and artistic development.
